Saizeriya Ristorante

Despite all the crazy stuffs that have been going on in school, I managed to take out some time and explore my neighbourhood - Toa Payoh. Out of serendipity and spontaneous decision making, I decided to try the Italian food served in Saizeriya Ristorante for lunch.

Saizeriya Ristorante is located above a row of shophouse at Toa Payoh Central. As its name suggested, this restaurant serves Italian cuisines. It has a rich history dated way back into the late 1960s.

A friendly staff greeted me when I walked into the restaurant at 11.30am. I could recognize that the interior decoration of the restaurant is inspired by the cafes and restaurants in Italy.

Decorated with nicely framed art works and European wooden chairs

It took me 10 minutes before settling for Veneziana Pasta because there are many selections available! I would say, I am a satisfied customer. The pasta is fragrant, it is soaked with olive oil, served with some bacon, and on top of it, it is sprinkled generously with dried cheese.

As the saying goes: 'There is always room for dessert.', I decided to go for a chocolate lava cake, with vanilla ice cream. The chocolate lava cake is surprisingly good. The cake is soft, with warm chocolate oozing out from its center.
